New survey on ‘digital maturity’ in Wales

Do you run a small business in Wales?

Would you like to know how your digital maturity compares to others in Wales?

Wales, like most other nations, is undergoing a period of rapid transformation, with digital technologies playing a central role in both business and society.

Evidence from previous Digital Maturity Surveys tells us that 50% of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have used superfast broadband to increase profit, and a similar number increase sales (48%).

The Digital Maturity Survey measures digital technology used in Wales’ SMEs and seeks to understand change over time.

We would now like to invite SMEs to take part by joining in the survey.

All businesses completing the survey will receive a copy of their Digital Maturity Score, benchmarked against others in Wales (this will be available by the end of 2018).

By completing the survey SMEs will also help us build a picture of the emerging digital economy in Wales, and inform the work of Welsh Government and partners in supporting its development.

DIGITAL MATURITY SURVEY FOR WALES 2018

Welcome to the third annual survey into the impact of broadband on business performance in Wales. The aim is to understand how businesses are using broadband and the benefits they gain.

The study is being carried out by the Welsh Economy Research Unit (WERU) of Cardiff Business School, and is jointly funded by Cardiff University, Welsh Government and the European Regional Development Fund. Your participation will help generate evidence on benefits gained by businesses using digital technologies and inform Welsh Government’s future delivery of support for SMEs.
